What an educational experience it was to go to the Edmund Fitzgerald Museum. So somber. It makes so much more sense when you can look out onto Lake Superior and see how massive it is and can understand how such violent storms could have taken such large vessels.

White Fish Point was on the far eastern side of Lake Superior. After touring the museum we walked out onto the beach. I didn’t get my toes in the lake this time. It looked really cold. I guess I was feeling lazy that day. The beach was full of driftwood and rocks.

On the way back to the campground we stopped at a small roadside café and I had my first Pastie pronounced Pastee. The lady said not present but the past. It reminded me of a shepherd’s pie. However you pronounce it I enjoyed it. Had some local chips to go with it.

I think on of my favorite parts of our travels is enjoying all the local foods. So far this is one of my favorite things.
